Endorsements
Barb has been endorsed by the Kalamazoo County Chamber of
Commerce as well as many private and public members of the Greater Kalamazoo community. Below is a sample.
CARRYING ON IN THE FAMILY TRADITION OF SERVICE TO CITY ...
My daughter, Barbara Hamilton Miller, is running for her third term as a Kalamazoo City Commissioner. When she first ran for school board 15 years ago, I discouraged her. My husband, former mayor and commissioner Francis Hamilton, encouraged her.
Public office can be an unpleasant job whatever era we are in, but both my husband and daughter felt a passion and devotion to Kalamazoo and wanted to do what they could for their community.
Barbara just wants to carry on the torch her father lit for her. I hope you see her passion and will vote for Barbara Hamilton Miller this Nov. 3.

COMMITMENTS MADE AND COMMITMENTS KEPT ...
Barbara Hamilton Miller is a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo. She has demonstrated her commitment to our community
for many years. She cares, she listens, she works effectively with other and most importantly, she is a
leader in addressing the needs of the citizens. Barb knows and understands the commitment and dedication it takes
to actively move our community forward. Without reservation, it is my honor to support Barbara Hamilton Miller.
She has earned it!

VOICE OF REASON ...
This is a special endorsement for City Commissioner Barbara H. Miller. I am voting for Barbara as the voice of reason on the Commission. She loves her city, does her homework and votes on the issues, not the politics. She is detailed and conservative about the city budget, an asset that will be especially important as the City tries to address the many cutbacks coming from State government. On the other hand she is generous and liberal when it comes to the people of this great city. Barbara supports the rights of all citizens, and is also very generous in her personal life. I am proud to be a supporter of Barbara Miller; she will use her experience and expertise to help continue to transform Kalamazoo into the model city it is throughout this nation.

MORE THAN A COMMISSIONER ...
Kalamazoo has the good fortune to have Barbara Hamilton Miller as a citizen and a member of the Kalamazoo City Commission. As an incumbent, Barbara views her office as one of service and stewardship. In addition to her service to the city, Barb has volunteered her time and expertise to the Kalamazoo Community in Schools organization that brokers resources needed by our schools to remove impediments to learning. She understands that to have a healthy community, we need to have strong schools and employment opportunities for our children after they graduate. To achieve these goals our community must be engaged on a number of levels with active leaders like Barb. Please keep a valuable member of our community in a position to continue serving our city. Re-elect Barbara Hamilton Miller.

PROVEN PERFORMER ...
The collective strength of commissioners is rooted in their diversity of vision, experience, and the energy they bring to work for the Kalamazoo region. After serving multiple terms on the Kalamazoo School Board, including service in the role of school board president, Barbara Hamilton Miller brings an impressive wealth of experience and accomplishment in community and regional concerns. She is a proven performer over many years of operational process at the heart of city educational administration and now adds two terms as a city commissioner.
The City Commission and the School Board are two of Kalamazoo's most important and visible institutions. Both have benefited by issues and ideas presented to the public with accuracy and professionalism.
With a highly relevant background of preparation and achievement over many years, Barbara Hamilton Miller offers Kalamazoo voters a clear choice.
